Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Technology to lead technology teams delivering scalable, secure solutions in a fast-paced environment. This role drives modernization, partners with business stakeholders, and guides strategic technology direction to support organizational priorities.

The AVP will oversee software development, operations, and platform initiatives, ensuring compliance and high operational excellence across the tech stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; equivalent combo accepted.
• 8+ years of progressive technology experience, including 3+ years in leadership/management.
• Experience leading technology projects, teams, and software/infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies and modern delivery practices.
• Experience with cloud technologies and data platforms, including AI-enabled productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop technology professionals in a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Oversee design, development, deployment, maintenance, and support of technology solutions and enterprise apps.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and priorities.
• Manage project delivery: planning, resources, risk, budgeting, and execution oversight.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, security, and ops.
• Ensure governance, cybersecurity, regulatory, and policy compliance across initiatives.
• Develop and maintain procedures for monitoring, incident management, BC/DR.
• Contribute to strategy, roadmaps, and modernization efforts.
• Communicate status and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Promote continuous improvement and adoption of innovative tech, including AI tools.
