Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree (JD, MBA or CPCU preferred).
• Ten years of experience in surety, legal or construction claims with progressive responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand surety coverage and assess claimant positions.
• Investigate claims and set reserves with management input.
• Develop strategies to resolve claims and minimize losses.
• Mentor junior staff and support department administration.
• Provide technical claims expertise to underwriting as needed.
• Collaborate with outside counsel and consultants as required.
