Job summary

State Street is seeking an Assistant Vice President in Private Equity Fund Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting and administration for client-sponsored investment funds. You will supervise staff, manage client deadlines, and maintain strong client relationships within the Private Equity Fund Services group of IFS.

Ideal candidates have a college degree and 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles, with private equity exposure.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, finance, math or economics; accounting concentration a plus.
• 7+ years accounting experience with 3–4 years supervisory experience.
• Private equity accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate staff and direct internal workflow.
• Manage client relationships and fund investor communications.
• Review financial work papers, capital calls and distributions.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with external firms.
• Identify unusual or suspicious activity and escalate per policy.
