Job summary

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. is seeking an Assistant Vice President for the Deal and Cash Operations team. The role focuses on private deal investment accounting, recording deal activity, lifecycle events, investment proceeds, and loan activity in Oaktree’s accounting system.

You will coordinate cash movements, funding, and hedging, while collaborating with investment teams, fund accounting, auditors, custodians, and administrators to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred.
• 9–11 years of experience in asset management or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Translate deal documents into accounting records reflecting deal economics.
• Record investment proceeds and lifecycle events in the accounting system.
• Process cash movements and fundings for private deals.
• Coordinate with investment teams, fund accounting, auditors, and custodians.
• Stage FX orders to raise cash and hedge currency risk.
• Ensure cash availability for purchases, redemptions and other transactions.
