Zusammenfassung

Apogem Capital, within New York Life Investment Management, seeks an Assistant Vice President to oversee accounting, reporting, and operations for a private equity funds portfolio. You will review fund accounting deliverables and manage day-to-day relationships with fund administrators, auditors, and internal partners.

The role requires CPA (preferred), a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 5–7 years of experience, and hands-on skill with Investran and MS Office.

Qualifikationen

• CPA strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience working with a fund administrator and auditors.
• Strong knowledge of private equity structures and US GAAP accounting requirements.
• Proficient using Investran and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.

Aufgaben

• Oversee fund’s operating activities (investor level and portfolio level).
• Perform cash and credit facility management relating to funds.
• Daily review of all financial transactions entered in Investran on a US GAAP basis for private equity fund structures and related entities.
• Review of detailed data relating to investments, investors, and legal entities as required for internal and external reporting.
• Review fund administrator deliverables, including financial statements, capital account statements, capital call notices, distribution notices, management fees, and NAV packages.
• Approve waterfalls and carried interest calculations.
• Coordinate with fund administrators to ensure timely issuance of quarterly/annual financial statements and capital account statements for each entity.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed timely and efficiently.
