Job summary

LPL Financial is hiring an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Technology Software Engineer in a hybrid role based in Austin. You will lead architecture and development of scalable enterprise applications, partnering with business stakeholders to deliver on strategic initiatives and product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of software delivery experience, strong AWS and cloud-native skills, and a track record mentoring teams within Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, application architecture, and enterprise solution delivery.
• Preferred development background using .NET/C# or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Strong database experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise applications and services.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using service-oriented and microservices architectures.
• Participate in and provide leadership across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Drive cloud-native development initiatives leveraging AWS services and best practices.
• Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using Git-based source control and deployment tools.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, quality, and security standards.
