Synchrony is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Principal Software Engineer to lead hands-on system design and architecture in a fast-paced environment. You will influence multiple agile teams, architect cloud-native microservices, and guide lifecycle management for consumer banking applications.

This remote role offers flexibility to work from home with occasional in‑person meetings and mandatory vaccination for in-person engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years software engineering experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 6 years of application development experience.
• Spring Boot and Spring Cloud development background.

Responsibilities

• Influence agile development teams through SAFe in all lifecycle stages.
• Architect applications across the full stack including microservices and cloud native design.
• Drive CI/CD with Jenkins, Bitbucket and uDeploy.
