Job summary

Axos Bank seeks an Assistant Vice President of Software Development with an emphasis on Outsystems. This hands-on leader guides teams while contributing to technical design and code reviews.

You will drive the Outsystems-based portfolio, ensure scalable architecture, and uphold solid delivery across the enterprise. The role requires strong people leadership, architectural oversight, and hands-on development on Outsystems platforms (O11/ODC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 5+ years of full-stack .NET or Java development experience.
• 6+ years on Outsystems platform (O11) with LifeTime and patterns.
• 3+ years leading software development teams in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on technical leadership; contribute to design, architecture, and code reviews for Outsystems apps.
• Refactor and optimize Outsystems codebase; apply just-in-time design and platform best practices.
• Define and govern solution architecture, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements across Outsystems portfolio.
• Evaluate Outsystems Forge components, extensions, and vendor APIs for financial services use cases.
• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage Outsystems developers across streams.
• Recruit and onboard Outsystems talent; assess certifications during hiring.
• Foster technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning within the team.
• Deliver and align with Product Roadmaps; translate business requirements to actionable workstreams.
• Identify opportunities to improve Outsystems capabilities and platform maturity.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels and manage delivery risks and resources.
