Job summary

Axos Bank seeks a Lead Software Engineer, OutSystems to architect, build, and govern high-quality OutSystems apps supporting critical banking operations. You will guide a team across O11 and ODC, set coding standards, and ensure security, performance, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead hands-on development, integrate with core banking and third-party systems, and mentor engineers across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development (O11)
• Strong full-stack development foundation: .NET/C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience delivering OutSystems applications in financial services environments
• Proficiency with OutSystems tools: Service Studio, Integration Studio, LifeTime (O11) and ODC Studio/Portal
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control in OutSystems delivery
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence in SDLC/Agile environments
• Ability to design and build enterprise REST/SOAP integrations and mentor teams

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of OutSystems applications using O11 and ODC patterns
• Develop complex OutSystems web and mobile apps in O11 and ODC environments
• Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with core systems and third-party APIs
• Extend OutSystems with C#/.NET when needed for solutions
• Implement responsive UI/UX with OutSystems UI, Angular, or React; ensure accessibility and brand compliance
• Conduct structured code reviews and mentor developers through certification journeys
• Lead delivery planning, sprints, and cross-team collaboration in regulated environments
