Job summary

Central Michigan University seeks an Associate Vice President to oversee the CMU Online academic unit, guiding online, hybrid, and off-campus learning initiatives across colleges. Qualifications

• Terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution and five years of progressively advanced leadership experience in higher education or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with academic leaders, faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading strategic initiatives, organizational change, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for growth, development, and oversight of credit, noncredit, and alternative programs across CMU Online.
• Oversee undergraduate, graduate, certificate, micro-credential, and alternative pathway programs and partnerships.
• Represent CMU Online at state, national, and international levels on online learning and distance education matters.
• Ensure policies and practices for online programming are implemented and continuously improved.
• Collaborate across governance processes and institutional committees to advance initiatives.
• Develop strategies to increase enrollment, retention, and graduation outcomes.
