Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks an Associate Vice President of Model & AI Governance to lead the enterprise framework for model governance and AI risk management.

This executive role reports to the Chief Audit & Risk Officer and partners across technology, data, compliance, privacy, and legal to ensure safe, ethical, and compliant AI deployment. The role oversees governance standards, third-party AI, responsible AI principles, and risk reporting to management and boards, with travel and remote work options

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in risk management, model risk management or related fields.
• Significant experience leading enterprise-wide governance programs.
• Experience operating at executive level in a regulated organization.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the enterprise model governance framework across identification, validation, and lifecycle.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, and escalation thresholds.
• Provide oversight of model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Oversee enterprise model inventory, ownership, and risk classification.
• Develop Responsible AI framework and governance standards.
• Establish processes for AI use-case risk intake, approval, and monitoring.
• Lead governance committees and report to executive management and boards.
