Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Vice President to lead Model & AI Governance, establishing enterprise governance, risk management and responsible AI across the organization. The role ensures safe, ethical, transparent and compliant AI deployment and reports to the Chief Audit & Risk Officer.

The leader partners with technology, data, clinical and legal teams to identify and govern AI risks, while maintaining independence from development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive risk management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide governance programs.
• Executive level experience in a complex, regulated org.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AI regulatory and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the enterprise model governance framework.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, and escalation thresholds.
• Provide effective challenge over model development, validation and monitoring.
• Oversee the enterprise model inventory and risk classification.
• Develop Responsible AI framework and governance principles.
• Lead AI risk governance committees and executive reporting.
• Report risk exposure and trends to executive management and boards.
• Promote a culture of responsible AI and governance training.
