Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Associate Vice President, Model & AI Governance, to lead the organization’s framework for model governance, AI risk management, and responsible AI. This executive role ensures models and AI solutions are deployed safely, ethically, and in alignment with risk appetite.

The leader will drive governance across principal functions, establish escalation processes, and advise executive management on emerging AI risks while remaining independent from deployment teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in risk management, model risk management, AI governance, or related fields.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide model governance or technology risk programs.
• Ability to present complex risk topics to executive leadership and boards.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the enterprise model governance framework, including risk classification and lifecycle management.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, and escalation thresholds.
• Provide challenge over model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Oversee the enterprise model inventory and risk classification.
• Develop and oversee Responsible AI framework and governance standards.
• Lead governance committees and report on risk exposure and trends.
