WSP USA seeks an Assistant Vice President, Mechanical Engineer in Houston, TX to lead technical direction for Science & Technology facilities. You will guide design of HVAC, lab ventilation, central utilities, and advance multidisciplinary teams from concept through closeout.

You will serve as a senior technical advisor to clients, ensure QA/QC, and drive project delivery while growing WSP’s presence in Houston and broader Texas markets.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in mechanical engineering and building systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; Texas licensure if not held.
• Experience leading complex mechanical projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive experience designing HVAC, lab ventilation, and other specialized systems.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load-calculation software.
• Strong communication and client-management skills; ability to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior-level technical leadership for mechanical systems design of Science & Technology projects.
• Lead HVAC, laboratory ventilation, central utility, and process exhaust system design.
• Develop design basis, equipment selections, and operating sequences aligned with client needs.
• Serve as Engineer of Record or discipline lead on applicable projects.
• Coordinate with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and technical presentations.
