Job summary

ResourceTek, LLC is partnering with a global metals manufacturer to recruit an Assistant Vice President – Manufacturing for operations in the Reading, PA area. This executive will serve as the second-in-command to the VP of Manufacturing, shaping strategy and leading manufacturing across multiple business units.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, safety and quality, Lean transformation, and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree is required, advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in large-scale industrial environments.
• Proven leadership of multi-unit or complex operations.
• Experience managing senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing strategy in partnership with VP Manufacturing.
• Lead performance across GM-led business units.
• Ability to supervise multiple General Managers in various business units.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and cost management.
• Lead Lean transformation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee capital projects and operational initiatives.
• Develop leadership bench strength and succession plans.
• Partner with executive leadership and stakeholders.
