Job summary

University of Iowa Center for Advancement (UICA) seeks a seasoned fundraising executive to serve as Assistant Vice President of Development for Health Sciences. This executive leads philanthropy across UI Health Care, including Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Health Care Philanthropy teams, reporting to the VP for Health Sciences Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant development/fundraising experience (including management) required.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides fundraising leadership for UI Health Care clinical departments and oversees UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Health Care Philanthropy teams.
• Develops strategies with executives to accelerate private support and align with institutional priorities.
• Builds and maintains donor relationships with principal and major gift prospects.
• Leads organizational change and collaborates across fundraising teams.
