Charter Oak is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations Manager to lead the credit union's loan servicing function, manage the sale of eligible first mortgages to the secondary market, and ensure accurate servicing, responsive member support, and robust controls.

This role partners with Lending, Collections, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and IT to optimize processes, reporting accuracy, and investor relations, while maintaining regulatory adherence and service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, management, or related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible loan servicing or mortgage operations experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience overseeing loan servicing, escrow and payment administration, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of first-mortgage secondary-market sales and investor delivery.
• Strong knowledge of lending regulations, investor requirements, internal controls, privacy, and records retention.
• Ability to lead employees, manage risk, and collaborate across departments.

Responsabilités

• Lead loan servicing operations with clear priorities, standards, controls, and performance expectations.
• Coach and develop loan servicing staff.
• Monitor performance, audits, vendor performance, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Lending, Finance, Compliance, Risk, and IT to improve processes and member experience.
• Ensure compliance with laws, investor requirements, policies, and internal controls.
