Job summary

Community First Credit Union seeks an AVP Mortgage Lending Operations to lead end-to-end mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing, ensuring regulatory and investor compliance while delivering a seamless member experience.

You will coach and develop the mortgage operations team, partner with Origination and other departments, manage vendor relationships, and drive process improvements and automation to shorten cycle times and improve quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years mortgage operations experience preferred.
• Experience leading mortgage processing, underwriting, closing or servicing.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, investor guidelines, and QC/audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the mortgage operations team; provide daily coaching and set performance expectations.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Origination and other departments; serve as escalation point for complex files and partner issues.
• Manage pipeline, turn times, and capacity to drive loan production and timely closings from document prep to post‑closing delivery.
• Ensure underwriting quality and adherence to credit policy, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee servicing, escrow administration, and vendor relationships to maintain compliant borrower experiences.
