Job summary

Western Alliance Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Lender Finance to analyze, underwrite, and coordinate closing of large corporate loans and structured products. You will work with Directors and MDs to monitor credit risks and present information for approval.

The role demands 2+ years in portfolio management, strong knowledge of fixed income and credit structuring, advanced Excel, and communication skills;

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Fixed Income investing.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring; credit analyst training completed.
• Advanced speaking, excel and writing communication skills.
• Progress toward or completion of CFA

Responsibilities

• Analyze portfolio investment performance for buy/hold/sell recommendations
• Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend marks on collateral
• Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; assist in solving problems in your portfolio.
• Handle various other underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or portfolio.
