Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks an Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager to lead underwriting and management of large corporate loans and structured products in a dynamic lending team.

You will analyze portfolio performance, prepare scorecards, and coordinate loan closings, ensuring adherence to bank policies and risk controls. 4+ years in portfolio management and CFA progress preferred. The role is based in New York, NY with potential for bonus and stock-based incentives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Fixed Income investing.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring. Credit analyst training completed.
• Advanced speaking, excel and writing communication skills.
• Progress toward or completion of CFA

Responsibilities

• Analyze portfolio investment performance for buy/hold/sell recommendations
• Prepare portfolio scorecards and recommend marks on collateral
• Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; assist in solving problems in your portfolio.
• Handle various other underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or portfolio.
