Job summary

North Star Bank is seeking an AVP IT/Security Officer to lead information technology, security, and related infrastructure across White Bear Lake and Roseville locations. The role combines oversight of network, hardware, software, and security with strategic alignment to business goals.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in computer science with 3–5 years of progressive IT leadership, banking software experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 3–5 years of increasing responsibility in IT systems.
• IT/Network certifications are recommended; A+ certification preferred.
• Experience with banking software programs (Laser/Deposit Pro, EZ Teller, EZ ID, Fiserv, Navigator) and traveling between locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure, security, networks, and related systems to align with bank strategy.
• Chair IT Steering Committee and report on security performance and projects.
• Manage IT staff and end-to-end IT projects with strong leadership and communication.
• Ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
