Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking an AVP, Financial Planning & Analysis to report to the VP of FP&A and act as a senior leader within Corporate Finance. You will translate enterprise strategy into financial plans, oversee planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis to drive executive decisions.

You will lead day-to-day FP&A execution, develop talent, strengthen partnerships, and advance analytics, processes, and governance capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related fields with significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading enterprise planning, forecasting, management reporting, and strategic financial analysis processes.
• Experience leading managers and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Property and casualty insurance or broader financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of FP&A to establish and execute the enterprise FP&A agenda, operating rhythm, planning priorities, and leadership deliverables.
• Lead enterprise planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic financial analysis, including coordination of assumptions, timelines, deliverables, and reviews.
• Review financial results, forecasts, business cases, staffing requests, and investment proposals to improve decision quality and resource allocation.
• Oversee management reporting, executive analysis, and financial materials for the CFO and governance forums; communicate trends, risks, opportunities, actions.
• Serve as a senior financial advisor to business unit leaders by translating strategic objectives into measurable financial and operational plans.
• Provide leadership over enterprise expense analysis, spending visibility, cost management, financial discipline, and expense allocation governance.
• Lead FP&A transformation through planning and reporting modernization, process standardization, automation, and data quality improvement.
• Develop FP&A talent through coaching Directors/Managers/Analysts and succession planning.
