Job summary

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (AVP, FP&A) to provide enterprise-level financial leadership and strategic analysis. This role reports to the CFO and partners with senior leaders to drive performance, develop models, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Relocation assistance is offered and the position is full-time with hybrid scheduling in Ithaca, NY.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare financial analysis, financial planning, and budgeting.
• Experience with enterprise analytics platforms (Power BI or Tableau).
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or other coding languages.
• Advanced Excel and financial/database-system skills.
• Strong strategic-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Partner with executive and operational leadership to establish financial targets and monitor performance against budget and forecast.
• Develop sophisticated financial models and pro formas for investments, acquisitions, and strategic opportunities.
• Perform scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and ROI evaluations.
• Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Mentor FP&A professionals and establish consistent analytical, modeling, and reporting practices.
