Job summary

State Street in Boston seeks an Enterprise Risk Management Audit AVP to lead audits focused on CCAR and Financial Risk areas. You will oversee engagements from planning to reporting and develop audit staff while supporting department initiatives.

The role is primarily office-based with some flex work. You will build relationships with management across lines of defense and ensure internal controls align with regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CCAR or Market/Credit/Liquidity risk experience in the first or second line.
• Public Accounting or Internal Auditing background is valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required.
• Advanced degree or professional certification preferred (CFA/FRM/CPA).
• Experience auditing CCAR or Financial Risks and IT general controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee and execute audits per risk-based methodology and internal standards.
• Supervise risk and control assessments and test key controls.
• Review workpapers for proper support and conclusions.
• Draft audit reports communicating risks, issues, and impact on strategy.
• Collaborate with management to set expectations and resolve project issues.
• Escalate issues to senior management and develop solutions.
• Maintain understanding of assigned areas, technology and regulatory context.
• Foster strong client relationships across lines of defense.
• Contribute to change initiatives and day-to-day responsibilities.
• Coach and mentor audit staff for development.
