Job summary
Vizient is seeking an AVP, Engineering Group Lead to drive engineering excellence across a domain cluster. You will develop the Engineering Manager layer, coach EMs, and translate product and enterprise strategy into executable technical plans while overseeing cross-team initiatives.
You will set standards and best practices, manage complex delivery risks, and coordinate with architecture, product, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions in a regulated healthcare
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams toward aligned delivery outcomes.
- Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices including cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps
- Demonstrated success operating in a matrixed environment and aligning technical decisions with strategic goals
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare
- Background supporting or leading infrastructure/platform engineering or shared services teams
- Familiarity with hybrid and distributed team models
Responsibilities
- Oversee cross-team delivery and align goals with domain strategy.
- Coordinate quarterly delivery reviews and resource allocations.
- Escalate delivery risks and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Coach and develop Engineering Managers and EMs.
- Collaborate with architecture, product, and business stakeholders.
