Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineer to join the California Property & Buildings team. The role focuses on complex building projects across education, municipal, and commercial sectors, guiding design from concept through construction.

You will coordinate electrical design reviews, lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and develop client relationships to support pursuits and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant post‑education experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical design for building projects, including education and institutional sectors.
• Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Experience leading teams, managing multiple projects, and delivering high‑quality results.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and approve electrical design plans, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Apply advanced electrical engineering techniques across project phases from concept to construction.
• Plan and incorporate future-ready design strategies addressing safety, functionality, resiliency, and performance.
• Mentor cross-functional engineering teams on mid-to large-scale projects, including budgets and schedules.
