Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Detection Design Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen threat detection across SIEM platforms. You will design and optimize rules for Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Google Chronicle, and leverage SOAR to automate security operations.

The role requires experience in detection engineering and incident response, with collaboration across Security Operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in detection engineering, security operations, or a related cybersecurity role.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major SIEM platform (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Google Chronicle) including rule development and queries.
• Familiarity with incident response processes and best practices.
• Experience with SOAR platforms for automation and workflow orchestration.
• Solid networking fundamentals and understanding of security devices.
• Ability to apply AI tools to enhance productivity while ensuring ethical use of data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize advanced detection rules within SIEM platforms to identify malicious activity and reduce false positives.
• Leverage SOAR technologies to automate security operations and streamline investigations.
• Analyze network traffic to detect anomalies and IoCs, enhancing monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Engineering, and stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
• Design and implement detection use cases for enterprise AI platforms and Generative AI solutions.
• Apply AI security frameworks to detect AI-specific threats such as prompt injection and data leakage.
