Job summary

Arch Capital Group in Jersey City is seeking an AVP, Data Governance - Stewardship, Metadata & Enablement to own and advance the data stewardship model, metadata foundations, and governance enablement across North America.

Reporting to the SVP, Data Governance, you will lead program ownership, data catalog enablement, and governance forums, delivering outcomes through collaboration with business and technical stakeholders in a dynamic, AI-enabled data environment.

Qualifications

• Stewardship program ownership and enablement with training plans, forums, and measurable outcomes.
• Data catalog and stewardship enablement across domains, with metadata, lineage, and AI data quality alignment.
• Forums and decision flow facilitation to drive cross-domain governance decisions and actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Stewardship Program Ownership Own the design, evolution, and effectiveness of the enterprise Data Stewardship Program, including training, forums, and measurable outcomes.
• Data Catalog & Stewardship Enablement Own the business metadata and lineage enablement strategy and enforce standards for metadata, lineage, and the data catalog.
• Forums, Facilitation & Decision Flow Own the purpose and outcomes of stewardship-related forums and working groups, adapting structure and cadence for effectiveness.
