Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud architecture design experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS expertise deploying applications.
• 5+ years developing architecture diagrams and documentation.
• 5+ years documenting build specifications using Excel.
• 5+ years designing and developing with common AWS services (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, ELB, RDS, Kafka, SQS, Redis, Redshift, API Gateway).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and project teams to understand business requirements and produce an infrastructure design.
• Perform system analysis and evaluations on existing application infrastructure.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert in AWS security, identity and access management, and related services.
• Provide architectural and engineering guidance for AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, RDS, Step Functions, and others.
• Define and develop new cloud reference architectures.
• Participate in application roadmap planning with stakeholders, application teams, and engineering groups.
• Contribute to policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with project team members within an agile environment.
• Use Jira consistently to track work and provide project status updates.
• Provide guidance on infrastructure deployments.
• Perform capacity and availability modeling for various platforms and environments.
• Recommend changes and enhancements that improve system availability, reliability, and performance.
• Promote automation and efficiency opportunities.
• Help create and maintain delivery metrics.
• Execute multiple efforts in parallel and proactively drive projects forward.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud architecture design experience
• 5+ years of hands‑on AWS subject‑matter expertise deploying applications
• 5+ years developing architecture diagrams and documentation
• 5+ years documenting build specifications using Excel
• 5+ years designing and developing with common AWS services (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, ELB, RDS, Kafka, SQS, Redis, Redshift, API Gateway, etc.)

Core Competencies

• Infrastructure as Code deployments using Terraform
• Experience with AWS AMIs on Amazon Linux and Windows Server
• On‑prem Active Directory integration with AWS services
• Knowledge of AWS network protocols and troubleshooting connection issues
• Firewall rule management and network routing

Preferences

• Bachelor’s Degree
• AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred
• Experience with network security best practices across diverse technologies
• SSL certificate management
• Technical project management experience

Pay Range

$123,497.00 – $205,897.00. Actual base salary varies based on skill, experience, education, and location.
