Job summary

WSP, an award-winning engineering consulting firm, seeks a Building Technology Systems - Assistant Vice President for the Denver office. You will lead building technology design for healthcare and other complex projects, coordinating with architects and owners from concept through construction close-out.

You will manage business development and mentor junior staff in a promote-from-within culture. The role requires 10+ years in Building Technology Systems design, strong supervisory and project

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or higher in Building Technology Systems.
• 10+ years’ experience designing Building Technology Systems for architectural/electrical contexts.
• At least 5 years’ supervisory and project management experience.
• Experience on healthcare, science/technology, federal, high-rise, hospitality, educational, or data center projects.
• Design experience of integrated intelligent building systems for Smart Buildings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting design information to clients.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Extensive client-facing experience.
• Extensive portfolio of medium-to-large healthcare projects.
• Industry certifications preferred (BICSI RCDD, CTS-D, CPP, PMP).

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for large projects and key clients.
• Serve as project manager on multi-service-line projects.
• Manage client expectations for goals, budgets and schedules.
• Oversee project accounting, profitability, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain a portfolio of clients with steady repeat business.
• Mentor staff and develop future project leaders.
