Job summary

Athene is hiring an AVP of Model Development to lead development, testing, and implementation of the corporate actuarial model. You’ll support ALM, GAAP, Statutory reporting, forecasting, risk metrics, and capital modeling, partnering across valuation, finance, and risk functions.

The role requires 7+ years in actuarial model development with leadership experience; ASA is required and FSA is preferred. Strong Python, MG-ALFA, or PathWise skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of actuarial experience including model development, valuation or financial reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to lead teams.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, development, and implementation of actuarial model changes for ALM, GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Perform detailed actuarial analysis to validate results and support management decisions.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Risk, Capital, and Investment teams to align model needs.
• Mentor analysts and staff, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
