Job summary

Coda Search is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead financial reporting, fund operations, and accounting oversight for sophisticated credit vehicles. You will collaborate with investment professionals, operations staff, and external service providers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years in fund accounting (Big 4 preferred), and strong knowledge of investment accounting principles and credit products. CPA desirable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in fund accounting or Big 4, in private credit, private equity, or alternative investments.
• Thorough knowledge of investment accounting principles including accruals, fair value, and waterfalls.
• Experience coordinating with fund administrators and overseeing outsourced accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for private credit funds, ensuring accurate NAV reporting and on-time delivery.
• Evaluate fund financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, partner capital).
• Oversee relationships with external fund administrators and resolve variances.
• Review investment activity (origination, repayments, PIK, fees) for accuracy.
• Confirm accounting treatment for sophisticated credit instruments (CLOs, structured products).
• Contribute to investor reporting, including capital accounts and performance metrics.
• Assist with quarterly valuations in partnership with deal teams and valuation committees.
• Manage year-end audit processes, compiling schedules and addressing auditor requests.
