The role involves extensive collaboration with engineers and program stakeholders, system modeling, TRL assessments, and overseeing testing and verification activities; travel ~25% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience (Principal).
  • Master''s degree in STEM and 3+ years of experience (Principal).
  • Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Create supplier statements of work and conduct requirements analysis to generate subsystem technical requirements documentation.
  • Perform trade studies, modeling, performance analysis, and TRL evaluation of supplier offerings.
  • Develop and control functional and physical architectures and interfaces; maintain baseline technical requirements documentation.
  • Design and develop ground-systems architectures with hardware/software integration, certification, and detailed schematics.
  • Produce detailed designs for trainer systems including Landing Gear, Aerial Refueling, Hydraulics, Electrical, Fuel, ECS, Power Plant, APU, Flight Control, and MAST.
  • Support RFPs, purchase orders, and development of performance-based specifications and supplier documentation.
  • Build supplier evaluation criteria, conduct technical evaluations, and assist with supplier selection.
  • Review supplier development documents, attend technical interchange meetings, and support design reviews.
  • Manage verification cross-reference matrix for hardware, software, and subsystem-level testing.
  • Oversee supplier manufacturing and test processes and review supplier test reports.
  • Support system integration, deployment, and conduct analyses for ground subsystems.
  • Interpret and flow down requirements across all levels of the system architecture.
  • Collaborate with partners, suppliers, engineers, and program stakeholders to meet platform mission objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership, manage scope, and communicate risks to program leadership.
