Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Test Technician (Space Simulation Test Lab) for the 2nd shift in Hawthorne, CA. You will perform acceptance and qualification testing on flight hardware, program environmental chambers, and document results precisely.

You’ll collaborate with design engineers to develop procedures and troubleshoot test equipment to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires 2+ years in relevant environments, and prefer a technical degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or military environment.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in technical/engineering field preferred.
• Thermal, vacuum, vibration and/or shock testing experience preferred.
• Experience with Windows OS and diverse electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ATP and QTP testing of flight hardware and document results clearly.
• Program and operate environmental test chambers and/or vibration shakers.
• Use test equipment and DAQs to run performance tests on parts.
• Record work on ERP shop floor system and maintain schedules.
• Assist design engineers with developing and documenting test procedures.
• Troubleshoot failures with design engineers and test equipment.
