Inertial Aerospace Services, a HEICO Company, invites applications for an Avionics Engineering Technician in Highland Heights, OH to support our engineering team with maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of avionics test equipment and systems.

The role emphasizes accuracy, hands-on assembly, and adherence to engineering procedures. FAA pre-employment screening is required and applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of avionics test equipment and systems.
• Experience with engineering documentation and test procedures.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• FAA pre-employment drug screening required.
• Authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, assembly and testing of avionics test equipment.
• Provide support in failure analysis and root cause corrective action of test equipment and systems.
• Support development, maintenance, approval of test procedures, and gathering of engineering data.
• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of systems for testing Avionics.
• Perform THT/SMT solder/rework, PCB assembly, cable assembly, and system wiring.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to locate and diagnose failures and calibrations using standard electronic equipment.
• Manage workload, parts inventory, and planning of maintenance activities as instructed.
• Read, write and comprehend English technical documentation.
• Perform tasks requiring the use of various hand and power tools.
• Perform other activities as assigned by management.
