Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an Avionics Test Engineer to define and implement test strategies for satellite avionics, including verification, qualification, and production testing. You will collaborate with design, test, and operations teams to optimize test methods and production readiness.

You will contribute to test station development, documentation, and KPI reporting, ensuring high-quality LRUs and robust test processes for spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting or computer architecture.
• 4+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• Experience planning and executing test campaigns for electronics systems.
• Experience defining test requirements for complex electronic systems.
• Experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design using ECAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for test methods used in design verification and qualification test campaigns.
• Develop test methods and automated test station hardware for labs and production tests.
• Develop and execute design verification test and qualification plans for avionics used in space vehicles.
• Influence product design for manufacturing and test efficiency (DFM, DFT).
• Provide training and improve work instructions to reduce design engineering support needs.
• Design, maintain and update test station documentation including troubleshooting guides and work instructions.
• Improve test stability, reduce test time, and guarantee data quality.
• Work with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure high quality space flight hardware.
• Execute test rack commissioning for new production test stations or upgrades.
• Work with Liaison Engineers to troubleshoot/test setups.
• Develop reporting tools on manufacturing KPIs.
