Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond is seeking a Lab Engineer to join the Avionics Development team. You will own facilities build-out, deploy lab infrastructure, and support satellite hardware development.

The role focuses on hands-on lab management, design of scalable lab facilities, and collaboration with satellite hardware teams to meet tooling and process needs. The position is based in WA and offers a competitive package including RSUs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hardware development or hands-on engineering experience in aerospace or labs.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with developing operational processes and technologies.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
• Experience with design, innovation and research & development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with building designers and construction firms to design lab facilities.
• Collaborate with satellite hardware teams to collect facility requirements.
• Select, procure, and deploy pilot plant and test equipment for development and testing of satellite avionics.
• Create standard operating procedures to operate, maintain, and upgrade complex systems.
• Draft narratives to decision makers and create operational reports tracking KPIs.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and vendors throughout the hardware development life cycle.
