Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an Electrical/Avionics Engineer to design, develop, and test integration hardware and software for avionics systems within the Lunar Permanence unit.

You will build test plans, execute verification, analyze results, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable vehicle performance. This hands-on role requires a BS in a technical field and strong lab skills in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, CS or related technical field is required.
• 3+ years with electronics or electro‑mechanical systems including prototyping/design/integration/test.
• Experience with safety‑critical systems development and vehicle systems testing.
• Hands‑on and able to work independently or in a team through development and production phases.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, and integrate electrical/avionics hardware, software, and interconnects.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts for standalone and integrated tests.
• Conduct verification and validation testing and document results.
• Analyze data and communicate risks and solutions to peers.
• Support lab integration, test bench setup, and troubleshooting.
