Job summary

The Structures Company in Mojave, CA is seeking an Avionics Technician for a long-term contract. You will develop avionics test benches, perform maintenance on lab hardware, and assemble wiring harnesses and prototype hardware to support aerospace projects.

Responsibilities include PCB design for prototypes, assembly of circuit boards, troubleshooting avionics systems, and maintaining the avionics lab and parts kits. This role offers bonus potential and priority access via Tier 1 suppliers.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• 3+ years of avionics or electrical technician experience.
• Experience with avionics systems, aircraft wiring harness, and electrical or mechanical installations.
• Ability to assemble circuit boards, breadboard, and deadbug circuits.
• Experience with PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware.
• Experience with electronic flight hardware assembly, rework, and modification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for avionics and lab hardware.
• Experience with avionics test bench development per engineering specifications.
• Experience with lab hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical component parts kits and stock maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develops avionics test benches per Engineering specification and requirements.
• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of lab hardware.
• Assembles aircraft wiring harnesses and prototype hardware.
• Assembles circuit boards, breadboard, and deadbug circuits.
• Performs PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware.
• Maintains and organizes avionics lab and equipment.
• Maintains and stocks electrical components parts kits.
• Performs electronic flight hardware assembly, rework, and modification.
• Troubleshoots avionics systems and electrical or mechanical installations.
• Works with avionics systems and wiring harnesses for spacecraft applications.
