Job summary

DST LLC is seeking an Avionics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on aircraft while ensuring FAA inspection standards are met. The role requires analysis of blueprints and coordinated teamwork to deliver on-time results.

Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations is required, and the candidate should have strong knowledge of FAA regulations and IPM/ATA codes. A valid driver’s license and security clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years' avionics work experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations, IPM and ATA codes.

Responsibilities

  • Fully analyzes blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to troubleshoot, repair and install products or parts.
  • Professionally trains and leads other employees in proper work techniques.
  • Schedules items through the shop to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Checks all mechanical components prior to installation to prevent damage.
  • Accurately estimates hours and materials for scheduled jobs.
  • Works with engineering to recommend design enhancements and productivity improvements.
  • Specializes in installation, inspection, test, maintenance and repair of avionics systems.
  • Operates all required ground support equipment.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
