Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage, control, and direct resources in collaboration with the Shift Lead to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MQ-9 aircraft and related equipment, following Air Force directives.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and operate communications equipment such as Ground Control Stations, Ground Data Terminals, radio systems, satellite communications, and cryptographic devices.
- Coordinate satellite communications airtime and link activation with DOD and civilian agencies.
- Assemble and connect components like transmitters, power supplies, and antennas.
- Monitor and de-conflict signals to optimize performance and prevent interference.
- Implement network solutions for real-time video dissemination using Remote Split Operations architecture.
- Adhere strictly to technical data and management procedures.
- Maintain accurate aircraft and equipment documentation and implement disaster control procedures.
- Update CANN procedures and aircraft status reports as required.
- Verify MICAP conditions and review status daily for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety directives, promoting a zero-accident work environment.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years in aircraft maintenance.
- At least one (1) year of experience with MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 aircraft.
Supervisory Responsibilities: As required.
Security Responsibilities
- Eligible for and obtain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance if required.
- Valid US Passport required.
- Complete CONUS Recovery Center (CRC) training for deployment.
- Comply with all Information Systems security policies.
Language Skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and communicate effectively.
Reasoning and Mathematical Skills
Ability to analyze problems, interpret complex requirements, perform calculations, and read electrical schematics.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, climb stairs/ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally.
- Work may involve exposure to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic hazards, extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
