Job Description

  1. Adhere to general work requirements.
  2. Complete logs, discrepancies, and modification notices.
  3. Transport aircraft to designated locations.
  4. Install test equipment on aircraft for ground and/or in-flight troubleshooting or FTPs.
  5. Remove and install LRUs.
  6. Perform avionics and electrical preflight inspections.
  7. Remove, replace, and repair electrical wiring and harnesses per engineering and modification notices.
  8. Assist with setting up aircraft for electrical and avionics FTPs, including interior work.
  9. Assist with launching and recovering aircraft from flight.
  10. Assist with troubleshooting pre/post-flight discrepancies related to avionics and electrical systems.
  11. Ensure time compliance equipment, such as air data computers, communications, standby air speed, and altimeters, are compliant with applicable parts of 14 CFR (FARs).
  12. Remove all temporary and protective equipment from aircraft and install final aircraft product equipment.
  13. Remove/reinstall aircraft panels in preparation for airworthiness certification inspection and repair post-inspection avionics and electrical system discrepancies as required.
  14. Assist with troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems before and after functional tests, including component-level repairs as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Typically have 3+ years of experience as an avionics technician (Bombardier and Gulfstream experience preferred).
  2. Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals.
  3. Own a basic toolkit and toolbox.
