Job summary

The Boeing Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Avionics Repair and Modification Technician to join our Executive Fleet team. You will work on aircraft electrical and communications systems, perform modifications, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure mission readiness.

This role requires experience with avionics, aircraft systems, and wiring, plus the ability to read drawings and safety procedures. The position offers a variable shift and prospects for growth within Boeing Defense Space

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical/electronic theories.
• Experience with avionics and aircraft systems.
• Experience with specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with component and wire installation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with aircraft computer systems and basic office software.
• Ability to work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve problems that cannot be solved solely by manuals.
• Analyze circuits, calculate waveforms, and trace signal flow with complex test instruments.
• Test and troubleshoot aircraft bench and flight line systems per directives.
• Seal, wrap, bond, and terminate wire harnesses per standard processes.
• Read drawings, orders, retrofit requirements for electrical modifications.
• Use fixtures for depot level modification and repair of wiring.
• Assemble and inspect wiring and electrical assemblies on aircraft.
• Troubleshoot avionics malfunctions in electrical and comms/nav systems.
• Follow safety procedures and coordinate/ship tools and materials.
