Job summary

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Experienced Structures Repair and Modification Technicians to join the Executive Fleet team in San Antonio, TX. You will support executive transport modification programs and lead structural modifications across critical airframes.

The role requires 10+ years with non-porous metals, experience reading drawings and specs, and hands-on use of aerospace sheet metal tools. Flexible shifts and safety-conscious work environment are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless).
• 10+ years reading schematics, specs, assembly drawings and SOPs.
• 10+ years using structures hand tools (drills, adapters, hole finders, rivet guns).
• Experience with heavy structures located, drilled, countersunk and fastened on aircraft.
• Ability to work variable shifts to support mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical structures.
• Locate blind holes for installation of new structural items on existing structures.
• Seal, paint, shim, and preserve structures per standard repair processes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and retrofit requirements for modifications.
• Use depot-level fixtures for modification and repair of structural parts.
• Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical components and replace as needed.
• Access data via aircraft systems and initiate parts/Discrepancy requests.
• Maintain certifications, licenses, and permits as required.
• Ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, lift ~35 pounds.
