Job summary

The Boeing Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Associate Structures Repair and Modification Technician to support the Executive Fleet team. You will perform precision modifications and repairs to critical aircraft structures and read engineering orders.

This role requires hands-on experience with metal structures, tooling and inspection techniques, plus the ability to work variable shifts and obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience working with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless).
• 4+ years experience with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and SOPs.
• 4+ years experience using structures hand tools (drills, adapters, hole finders, rivet guns).
• Ability to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal and installation to critical structures.
• Read engineering drawings, technical orders and retrofit requirements to modify and repair structures.
• Use tooling assemblies for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.
• Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
• Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.
