Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. in Mineral Wells, Texas, seeks an Associate Avionics Systems Engineer to design, develop and integrate complete aircraft avionics systems.

You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions meeting safety, quality and certification requirements, and you will participate in ground and flight testing and system safety assessments. This on-site role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires hands-on engineering in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Systems/Software/Electrical/Computer/Mechanical/Aerospace).
• Minimum three years of avionics experience and related technical professional experience.
• Understanding of avionics systems engineering principles, design and development processes.
• Knowledge of FAA and other certification processes.
• Understanding of system safety assessment processes.
• Strong knowledge of requirements management tools.
• Ability to perform engineering work in ground and flight testing.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software.

Avionics Systems Engineer

The Avionics Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, and analysis of complete aircraft avionics systems.

This position supports new and legacy product lines, customer-driven design modifications, avionics system integration, ground and flight testing, system safety assessments, and certification activities. The engineer will work with customers and cross-functional engineering teams to develop feasible solutions that satisfy technical, safety, quality, manufacturability, and certification requirements.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager and requires on-site work in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another significantly related engineering discipline.
• Minimum three years of related avionics experience and related technical professional experience.
• Understanding of avionics systems engineering principles, design and development processes, software, and engineering techniques.
• Knowledge of avionics certification processes for the FAA and other certification authorities.
• Understanding of system safety assessment processes.
• Complete understanding of an avionics systems engineering discipline and general knowledge of related engineering areas and industry practices.
• Strong knowledge of relevant requirements management tools.
• Ability to perform engineering work in aircraft ground and flight testing.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and access the required U.S. export-controlled information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience supporting TSO and STC certification projects.
• Experience with functional hazard assessments, system safety assessments, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Experience with avionics system/software integration, verification, and formal testing.
• Experience with aircraft ground and flight testing.
• Experience with system requirements, subsystem modeling, and performance analysis.
