Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to join the Military Aircraft Group in Mineral Wells, TX.

The role covers design, development, implementation, and analysis of complete air vehicle avionics systems, with on-site responsibilities across multiple projects and direct interaction with customers. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s in a relevant engineering field, with 3+ years of avionics experience, knowledge of FAA certification processes, and hands-on testing capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree ideal.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate product requests from customers and formulate conceptual and feasible design changes to existing products to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze project proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time; discuss with engineers, customers and other personnel.
• Support customer development and design; perform system/software integration activities; develop new testing applications or modify existing tools.
• Evaluate product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications.
• Support avionics systems ground and flight testing; provide certification support for FAA and other authorities.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other significant related engineer degrees
