RTX invites students to join the Systems Engineering Co-op in the Avionics Boeing Platforms department, based onsite in Cedar Rapids. You will work with experienced teams to design, model, and test next-generation flight deck displays for commercial aircraft, spanning requirements analysis to verification and flight-critical testing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline.
• GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
• Experience may come from coursework, projects, or on-the-job work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design and integrate avionics display solutions.
• Develop and execute system-level test procedures for flight deck displays.
• Design, code, and test software utilities to support integration, verification, and validation.
• Participate in requirements capture, system architecture trade studies, and traceability analyses.
• Support hardware-software bench integration, troubleshooting, and anomaly investigation in avionics test labs.
• Apply aviation development standards and processes such as ARINC 661, ARINC 664, and ARP4754.
