Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics PCB Layout Engineer to design high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications. You will work with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software disciplines to ensure strict design requirements are met.

Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with high-speed layouts are essential. You will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to design reviews, and help maintain libraries and documentation while ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of PCB layout and design experience
• BS in electrical engineering or related field
• Expertise in high-speed, impedance-controlled layouts
• Proficient with Altium Designer; familiarity with Allegro, Eagle PCB, Proteus
• Strong documentation and design-for-manufacturing practice
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet design requirements
• Use Altium Designer to create detailed schematics and layout design
• Ensure design and manufacturing practices adhere to industry standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation for PCB layout and design
• Troubleshoot and resolve PCB design and layout issues
• Mentor junior engineers on PCB layout and Altium best practices
• Contribute to PCB/PCBA design reviews with DFM/DFT/DFMA input
• Develop and maintain board eCAD design libraries
