Job summary

West Star Aviation in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems to the component level. You will handle installation tasks, support the hangar and shop with tools, and engage with customers on project scope and pricing.

Strong English communication and basic computer skills are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, avionics/electronics training preferred, and a valid passport or airline

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
